Traveler & photographer with a passion for everything
While searching google, I found a list which said that Khajjiar is a must visit place for anyone who loves to explore new places. And when I saw the images of the place, I thought how did I miss this place ? Well, I can’t explore each and every place of this planet. 😛
Located approximately 24 km from Dalhousie, Khajjiar is often called as Mini Switzerland of India. Is it ? well, for me a big no though I have not explored Switzerland.
But for some others, Yes.
A beautiful yet small hill station, Khajjiar is bound to make you fall in love with the place, thanks to its breathtaking sceneries.
When I landed there, I realized that it would not take more than one hour to explore this place, though you can stay here as long as you want (You can too practice yoga here). 🙂
I saw kids were playing cricket, men and women were chatting, small vendors were selling food items, etc etc.
A typical Indian hill station, yet I loved the beauty of Khajjiar.
There is not much to describe the place. Regarding accommodation, you can stay at Dalhousie, where you can find plenty of hotels & restaurants. From there you can hire a taxi for Khajjiar.
If you have your own vehicle, that’s great !
There are three more places around Khajjiar which you can explore.
1) Dauladhar mountains:
2) Khajjiar Lake:
3) Khajjinag temple:
Have a nice and safe journey to Mini Switzerland !!!
